In patch 9.2 of World of Warcraft, you can choose between Incubus and Succubus as a Warlock. But there is no glyph.
For Warlocks and Warlockesses, patch 9.2 “End of Eternity” fulfills a long-held dream. For over a decade, many dark spellcasters from World of Warcraft have wanted a sexy demon by their side – an Incubus. Now he is finally coming to the PTR and brings a little surprise with him. Because there is still no glyph for the Incubus.
What comes instead? From the game data of patch 9.2, it has already been read that there are two new items for Warlocks.
- Barbed Collar of the Incubus (“Barbed Collar of the Incubus”)
- Barbed Collar of the Succubus (“Barbed Collar of the Succubus”)
When used, the item ensures that “the bond with your Incubus / your Succubus is strengthened, so you will summon only him / her.”
The items function as switches, allowing you to choose which demon will accompany you permanently in the future. This suggests that the standard summoning will be modified in the future so that you summon either a Succubus or an Incubus randomly and only make a more permanent choice with the items.
Where can you find the two items? That is still not quite clear. However, the desire for more customization and the permanent choice of a Succubus or an Incubus is strong in the community. Therefore, it is likely that both items will be made available relatively early. They will probably just be available from a shady vendor in the major cities.

Why are there no glyphs? Why Blizzard decided on two separate items and does not include glyphs is not entirely clear. However, it seems reasonable that Blizzard wants to make this change available to as many Warlocks as possible. Since glyphs are consumables, one would have to buy them multiple times with frequent changes. Such permanent items, on the other hand, could be used repeatedly. Since the items are “unique”, it also seems plausible that they are not consumed upon use.
