The players of the Horde don’t care much for loyalty. At least they betray one of their leaders in Patch 8.1.5 of World of Warcraft.
The Horde is currently an exciting topic in World of Warcraft. More and more disputes and conflicts are brewing within the faction. Players already have the option to support the banished Saurfang or remain loyal to Sylvanas. But in Patch 8.1.5 they have no choice. There, they betray another leader of the Horde – namely the Goblin Jestor Gallywix.

This quest is from Gallywix: The Goblin leader Gallywix wants players to find and kill the Goblin Grizzek, as he might still be alive. Grizzek was an important character in the book “Before the Storm,” who advanced the research on Azerite together with his gnome friend Sapphronetta.
After receiving the task, the Goblin Gazlowe approaches us and asks us not to kill Grizzek if he is still alive. He is a “good guy” and we need engineers like him to advance the research.

Same quest as on the Alliance side: After that, the quest line unfolds identically as on the Alliance side. The player follows “Feathers” through the Tanaris desert and will eventually encounter Saffy and Grizzek. They warn the Goblin Grizzek that Gallywix wants him dead and let the couple escape together into the desert. They promise to stay away from the conflicts to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

Gallywix is being lied to: Subsequently, players receive the pet “Feathers” and return to Gallywix. They have no choice but to directly lie to the leader of the Goblins:
“He [Grizzek] is nothing more than a smear in the desert. A tiny smear. A series of microscopic little particles, spread over the sand. He is 100% dead. I got this really terrible sunburn when I picked up all his pieces. And when I found them, I blew them up again. Yup. He’s dead. Really, really dead.”
Gallywix seems to be convinced, and Gazlowe thanks him with a “bonus payment” and praises the player.

What do you think about yet another Horde leader being betrayed by the player? Do you play a Goblin and feel bad about this mission? Or should there always be a choice in such missions?
