World of Warcraft has a few safe tricks to earn a lot of money. Not only new potential real-money currencies but also the sale of mounts with very special abilities. A mount that many WoW fans love for its features may soon return to the store. The perfect way for everyone to quickly get rid of 80 euros or to be outraged about it.
What was found? The data miners from wowhead have discovered that a new line of code has appeared in the shop. This line contains the suspicious phrase “BrutosaurComeback”. The term “Brutosaur” is particularly suspicious because a Brutosaur has only been sold in the shop once before – namely the “Reins of the Golden Trader Brutosaur”. A mount that cost a hefty 78 € at the time, generating several million in revenue for Blizzard in just a few weeks.
Dinomount returns, but how expensive will it be?
Why is the mount so expensive? The reason is that the mount offers special functionalities. On the Trader Brutosaur, there is not only a mailbox but also direct access to the auction house – essentially from anywhere in the world. Such a mount previously existed in the game for gold. However, the source of the old Caravan Brutosaur has been removed, and now it is only occasionally available in the black market auction house – for the ridiculous price of “Goldcap”, that is 10,000,000 gold.
Considering this, a price of 80 € is still comparatively cheap for a mount that otherwise costs millions of gold coins – because those would, when converted to real money, cost much more.
When exactly the mount will return to the shop is still uncertain. Perhaps it will coincide with housing, which is also starting in a few weeks.
Ultimately, every player will have to decide for themselves whether to spend money on this mount when it becomes available again. Because even if one does not have the mount – as a rule, the next auction house is only a hearthstone away. The advantage with this mount is present but is rather minimal. Especially since it suffices for just one member in the raid or group to own the mount – because then one can also enjoy the services of the NPCs.
