The “Login” music for World of Warcraft Dragonflight is finally known. And this will also be your excuse for always missing the raid in the future…
A small but fine highlight for the launch of every new expansion of World of Warcraft is the new login screen. It is usually not only graphically elaborate but also greets players in the coming years with an exclusive music piece that is meant to tune them into the adventures of the latest WoW expansion. Many have been waiting for the “Login music” of Dragonflight for a long time – Now it is finally here.
What kind of music is that? Players in World of Warcraft rarely get to hear the login music – at least when logging in through the Battle.net launcher, because there you are usually only for a few seconds before heading to the character selection and then into the game. However, those who linger longer in the character selection or struggle with login issues (such as during queues) will be able to enjoy these pieces of music that often represent the entire expansion.
It should be no surprise if you end up spending a few more minutes on the login screen and miss the start of the raid due to the music.
Is that already the whole piece? No, most certainly not. Usually, the music pieces in the login screen are about 10 minutes long. The piece discovered so far is likely the intro and thus a music piece created specifically for the screen.
The 10-minute version is usually a compilation of several music pieces that are played after the intro – often containing music pieces from older expansions that are meant to reflect the flair and theme of the latest addon.
Community finds many positive words: The new music is well received by the community – at least this is inferred from the comments on YouTube.
- “Say what you want about Warcraft, but at least the people responsible for the music always deliver. Sounds fantastic.”
- “I absolutely love the login screen music. It increases my hype by 1000!”
- “After so much war and destruction in recent years, it is beautiful to hear something with such optimistic sound. I like it.”
- “That sounds so adventurous – really cool!”
The only criticism is directed at the graphics of the screen itself. Here it is complained that there need to be a few dragons wandering in the ruins and flying through the background. However, it is quite possible that Blizzard will add such characters.
How do you like the new login music that will accompany you for the next 2 years? Fitting and harmonious? Or not your taste at all?
