Do you also often lose Stygia in the Maw of World of Warcraft? There is now a remedy. A hotfix introduced a new item.
The Maw of World of Warcraft has become more interesting and diverse with Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, but some problems still persist. The impending loss of Stygia is particularly annoying and deters many players. However, you can now significantly mitigate this.
What is the problem? Dying in the Maw is quite annoying. Not only can you not walk back to your corpse as a ghost, but each death also causes you to lose a large amount of Stygia from your inventory. While you can still recover it later, it can be quite a bit of work depending on your location.
What has changed? You can now buy a new item from Archivist Roh-Suir – at least if you’ve already reached Reputation Level 4 with the Archivist’s Codex. You can purchase “Treatise: Bonds of Stygia in Mortals” for the price of 1,000 Cataloged Research. When used, it reduces your Stygia loss in the Maw by a whopping 75%.
Currently, when you die, you still lose 20% of your Stygia. With the treatise, this value drops to a low 5%. You might want to think about whether you really want to run back to your corpse again or just let Stygia be Stygia.
Players are satisfied – at least somewhat: Most players are pleased with this change. Losing Stygia was always bitter. The fact that this value is now reduced by 75% makes most happy, especially since the unlocking is relatively simple. However, some still complain that the Stygia loss mechanic even exists. Players didn’t really take to it well, and many wished it would be completely removed from the game.
If you really care about your Stygia, you should definitely check out the inventory of Archivist Roh-Suir soon.
Have you had problems with the loss of Stygia so far? Or have you never died in the Maw and have no idea what people are so upset about?
