At the birthday event of World of Warcraft, you have to farm a lot if you want to have everything. We reveal how much you need for which contents.
World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20th birthday. While it comes with plenty of rewards, most are not simply given away, but you have to earn them during the event celebrations. The primary currency for that are items with the somewhat cumbersome name “Bronze Celebration Tokens,” which can be earned from many activities in the game.
How many Bronze Celebration Tokens do you need? It all depends on what you want from the event. The more you want, the more tokens you obviously have to farm:
- You need 485 tokens if you want all rewards – including rewards from previous events.
- You need 395 tokens for all the new rewards that are available for the first time this year.
If you are only interested in specific contents, the effort will of course decrease.
- If you want all the tier set remakes, you need 320 tokens.
The trick with unlocking the new tier 2 sets is that the cost becomes cheaper once you have already purchased some sets. The first set costs a hefty 60 tokens, but all subsequent sets are already significantly cheaper. This way, you can unlock the sets much faster than it may initially seem.
The first set costs 60 tokens. The second set costs only 40 tokens. All further sets cost only 20 tokens.
For collectors of pets, there is even more to farm:
- 2 mounts cost a total of 40 tokens (20 each).
- 5 battle pets are available for 50 tokens (10 each).
How do you get Bronze Celebration Tokens? You can obtain Bronze Celebration Tokens from almost all content available in the current World of Warcraft. Both weekly rewards from quests in Khaz Algar and the event quests you can start in Tanaris provide them.
Note that obtaining the tokens is tied to your war party. You cannot earn tokens for the same activity multiple times per week if repeated on other characters. Thus, the receipt of items is limited per week.
Faster farming after the 100th token
Once you have earned 100 Bronze Celebration Tokens, you also receive an achievement called “Token Collector.” This achievement unlocks new ways to earn even more Bronze Celebration Tokens from “repeatable sources.” Although not all details are known yet, it likely includes contents such as the raid bosses in Blackrock Depths, the scenario with Chromie, or the world bosses. More details will surely follow in the coming days.
How long does farming take? Anyone who wants all rewards should plan for a few weeks of time investment – but the event runs for 10 weeks. Most missions can be completed comfortably in one evening, so especially the waiting time between weekly resets becomes a test of patience. However, those who play throughout the entire event can unlock everything.
Will you collect all the rewards from the event? Or is it too much effort for items that you probably won’t use long enough anyway? Without much farming, you can get the stylish mount Coldflame Storm – we have the guide for that here.
