Two more races from World of Warcraft will get their cool heritage armor. We reveal how to obtain them.
When patch 8.0, the pre-patch for Battle for Azeroth, introduced heritage armor for the allied races, excitement was high. However, it didn’t take long before players of the “old” races demanded heritage gear for themselves. After Blizzard had been considering this for a while, this request has now been granted.
What heritage armors are available? With patch 8.1 “Tides of Vengeance,” there will be heritage armors for blood elves and dwarves. Other races are expected to come in later patches.
What does the heritage armor look like? It is still unknown exactly how the unique armor sets for blood elves will look. The PTR is expected to provide some concrete images in a few days. However, there is at least one concept drawing for dwarves:
How do you unlock the heritage armor? Hazzikostas has already revealed what needs to be done to unlock the heritage armor. To unlock the heritage armor, the following conditions must be met:
- Exalted with Silvermoon (Blood Elves) or Ironforge (Dwarves)
- Level 120 with the respective race (Blood Elf or Dwarf)
- Completion of a race-specific quest chain
The requirements are quite low – no extensive reputation farming is necessary.
What is the quest chain about? Hazzikostas hasn’t provided specific details about the two quest lines yet. However, he mentioned something about the death’s toll regarding the blood elves and explained that players will learn much about the origins of the blood elves – for instance, how Arthas destroyed the elves’ homeland. The goal is to “discover what it truly means to be a blood elf.”
There is currently no release date for patch 8.1 yet. However, the update is expected to be available on the PTR sometime this week.
