Demons Hunters, Hunters, and Monks are looking forward to a damage boost in WoW. However, things don’t look good for Warlocks…
Although patch 7.2.5 for World of Warcraft has been active for almost two weeks, the developers are still not completely satisfied with the impact. This results in small hotfixes and adjustments being made to ensure balance in the game. Tomorrow, on 28.06.2017, the Tomb of Sargeras will open its gates in “LFR” and Mythic difficulty, which is why the developers will make some minor changes to the classes.
In plain terms, this means buffs for Vengeance Demon Hunters, Survival Hunters, Windwalker Monks, and nerfs for Affliction Warlocks.
Below are all the buffs and nerfs that players can expect:
Demon Hunter
Vengeance
The damage of all abilities has been increased by 2%.
The damage of Demon Bite has been increased by 46%.
The effect of Mastery: Demonic Presence (Damage) has been increased by 7%.
Hunter
Survival
The damage of all abilities has been increased by 4%.
Monk
Windwalker
The damage of all abilities has been increased by 2.5%.
The damage of Fist of Fury has been increased by 12%.
Warlock
Affliction
The damage of Corruption has been reduced by 5%.
The damage of Agony has been reduced by 5%.
Additionally, there is a planned change for Frost mages that primarily affects the mechanics of a spell. The developers state:
Mage
Frost
Glacial Spike: The stored damage of Ice Lances will no longer be increased by percentage damage buffs active on the mage.
The damage of Glacial Spike has been increased by 50%.
The reasoning behind this change is that Glacial Spike benefits multiple times from various buffs – an effect that the developers did not desire. Since the individual Ice Lances are no longer buffed before they are combined in Glacial Spike, the damage of the spell decreases. However, the base damage has been increased by a solid 50%, which should compensate in most cases.
