A new hotfix for World of Warcraft fixes many small bugs. But raiders can also rejoice, they have to go into the nightmare less often.
In World of Warcraft, there are still small bugs that spoil the daily experience for players. The latest hotfix has addressed and eradicated many of these small bugs. However, these changes and corrections also mean slight nerfs for some classes – such as the Shadow Priest.
Druid
Wrath of the Sleeper can no longer harm allies (previously reflected “Friendly Fire”).
Hunter
Bestial Wrath and On the Hunt can now deal critical hits.
Priest
The talent Soul Harvest no longer incorrectly increases the damage of Shadow Word: Death.
Shaman
The Greater Earth Elemental now correctly pulses its threat within a 15-meter radius.
In PvP situations, Surging Waves should no longer receive double penalties from effects that reduce healing (like dampening in the arena).
Quests
Apart from these class changes, there is also a change to the quest items for the mission “The Essence of Power.” This requires players to visit the Emerald Nightmare on “Normal” or higher – a total of 30 essences must be collected. The drop rates for the quest item Corrupted Essence have been significantly increased.
The quest “Essence of Power” is part of a very long questline that players must complete to unlock another skin for their artifact weapon. Because players have to visit the now “outdated” Emerald Nightmare numerous times, many feel artificially slowed down and have repeatedly requested an increase in drop rates to reduce the grind somewhat.
Our hotfix will likely go live in the coming night – that is, along with the weekly maintenance on February 15, 2017.
