A single death knight plows through the Horde in World of Warcraft – and naked. Rextroy is once again on his way to make the Alliance proud.
For a long time, the well-known YouTuber and streamer Rextroy was inactive to focus on other things in real life. But now he is back and once again shows how to amusingly exploit the mechanics of World of Warcraft and defeat enemies by the dozen even with shocking little equipment.
Because this time Rextroy faces the Horde naked – and yet they hardly have a chance against him.
This is how Rextroy deceived the Horde: To give the impression of an “easy target”, Rextroy stripped all his equipment and additionally marked himself as “/afk” – although he was actually present.
The whole thing looks very suspicious, because why would a naked Alliance player be so close to the Horde capital?
Some couldn’t resist this honor delicacy and attacked. Rextroy waited for exactly this moment to pull the attackers to him with a death grip and then kill them within a fraction of a second. You can see the effects of this in this video, starting at minute 3:24:
However, the plan sometimes went wrong. Because Rextroy was naked, he had extremely low health points, so many enemies could “one hit” him with a bit of luck.
How does this work? The basic trick has been used frequently in other variants. It works again due to the scaling that exists between high-level characters and critters. When a level 70 character attacks a critter, it does not deal its normal damage, but significantly increased values – in the millions or even billions range.
Actually, this is not a problem because this damage only applies to these critters.
However, there are talents and abilities that “store” a part of the damage dealt and keep it for other abilities. For the death knight, this is the case with the talent “Cryogenic Chamber”. 15% of the damage dealt by Frost Fever is accumulated and released on the next use of “Merciless Winter”.
15% of several billions is still enough to instantly kill most players – because they only have a few million health points.
Is Rextroy not banned? No, he will not be. Typically, he reports all exploits he finds immediately to Blizzard before publishing the videos. In most cases, he even waits until the bug is fixed before uploading the video. This minimizes the risk of imitators using the exploit for worse offenses.
By the way, Rextroy not only likes to defeat champions of the opposing faction with exploits but also occasionally takes down one or another raid boss. In another new video, he showed how he also delivers one hits here and makes one or another raid boss look quite old.
