A new quest line in World of Warcraft is available. We reveal how to set in motion the dark fate of Xal’atath.
With today’s maintenance (04/10/2019), a new quest line was unlocked in World of Warcraft. Especially Shadow Priests will be pleased, as there is a reunion with the dark blade Xal’atath. However, all other classes can also take on the quest line.
This is how you start the quest: The quest is started by collecting a specific seal. However, this seal is a drop that only drops from selected world quests. These are the “Naga Attack!” quests, which were newly added with patch 8.1.5. They should respawn every few hours and can appear in all areas of Zandalar and Kul Tiras. Even though the quest line is marked as “Elite”, it can easily be completed solo. All Naga within this world quest can drop the starting item.
This is what happens in the quest line: Throughout the quest, players speak with the blade Xal’atath and help her regain her former strength. For this, souls must be consumed and relics recovered. These relics are then brought to the Cauldron of Storms and sacrificed to a creature – the Old God N’Zoth. Only then does it become clear that it was not about the relics, but about the players. Xal’atath presented the players on a silver platter to N’Zoth and incidentally granted him new power.
Additionally, Xal’atath is freed from the blade at the end and receives a physical form. From now on, she can roam freely in the world and will surely appear again sooner or later.
A decision with consequences: At the end of the quest line, there is also a decision to be made. You can choose whether you want to get rid of N’Zoth’s “gift”. In that case, you decide against being manipulated by N’Zoth. In compensation, however, there is a toy to at least simulate the effect. With the toy or “gift”, you have an eye of N’Zoth stuck to your head and can see other players with the “gift” as well.
What decision will you make? Do you keep the gift of the Old God and remain corrupted by him? Or will you free yourself from the dark creature right away?
