WoW: Here’s how to defeat Furyion, Ma'ut, and Skitra in the new raid Ny'alotha

The first wing of Ny’alotha, the Awakening City in World of Warcraft is open in LFR. We will tell you how to defeat the bosses.

In World of Warcraft today, on January 29, 2020, an exciting day has begun. Not only is the “World First” race in full swing, as the mythic mode of the latest raid Ny’alotha is open, but there is also something for casual players to do. Because even if you’re not in a raid guild, you can now defeat the first bosses from Ny’alotha. The first raid wing opens in LFR mode and features 3 new bosses.

Even though the LFR mode is known to be not very complex, no one wants to be “that one idiot” who ruins the fight because they have no idea about the mechanics. Therefore, we have some quick tips for you on how to defeat the three fights in the first wing “Vision of Destiny”. But first, you should pick up your weekly bonus coins to have more chances for loot.

LFR Guide: So you defeat Furorion, Ma’ut, and Prophet Skitra

So you defeat “Furorion, the Black Emperor”: Furorion is the first boss and waits right at the entrance of the raid – there are no trash mobs before him. As with almost all dragons, the usual rules apply: No one except for the tanks should stand directly in front of him, and no one should stand directly behind him to avoid being hit by the breath of fire or the tail sweep. Additionally, all players should keep the following tips in mind:

Anyone who receives the debuff “Incineration” should run away from the raid and explode from a safe distance.
When Furorion uses “Gale Strike”, the raid should spread out and keep its distance from the boss.
When Furorion casts “Burning Cataclysm”, run to the other side of the room and stay in the areas not covered by fire until the fire disappears.
Destroy the burning pillars. If you catch a scale from Furorion, run through the pillars with the debuff – that will destroy them immediately.

So you defeat “Ma’ut”: Ma’ut is one of the Obsidian Constructs that players may remember from Ahn’Qiraj. As before, his fight is based on draining mana from players and collecting it to cast devastating spells. Therefore, you should keep the following in mind:

Players with the debuff “Devouring Magic” should run away from the raid and drop the damage areas.
When the boss casts “Stygian Annihilation”, you must stand in one of the damage areas at the end of the cast or take massive damage.
Focus on the appearing mobs. The tank should repeatedly pull the add briefly into one of the damage areas to interrupt its spells.
When the boss becomes immobile and casts “Obsidian Skin”, deal as much damage as possible to prevent it from exploding. However, the damage you deal will be reflected back at you – so don’t kill yourself and make sure the healers can keep up.
During the Obsidian Skin, collect the blue orbs floating in from the edge of the room towards the boss – they must not reach him.

So you defeat “The Prophet Skitra”: The Prophet Skitra is the first boss where it gets a bit tricky, as communication is essential. Skitra plays nasty mind tricks that the raid must not fall for:

Players with the debuff “Ripped Psyche” should run away from the raid group until an add appears: ranged players should kill this add quickly.
Players will receive a red and blue debuff and can see multiple copies of Skitra. Coordinate with the players of the other color and kill the only copy that can be seen by both groups. Other copies should not be attacked.

The bosses are quite interestingly designed – unfortunately, the last one is not. Because N’Zoth disappoints.

Basically, all three bosses are quite simple and serve as an introduction to Ny’alotha. Even with a chaotic LFR group, the bosses should not pose a significant obstacle.
