Two new transmogs are available in the shop of World of Warcraft, with steep prices. Cute Murlocs are free for subscribers though…
It hasn’t been long since the World of Warcraft community expressed their outrage over a new mount appearing in Blizzard’s MMO shop. Now, just hours ago, there are two new offers in the WoW in-game store, likely of interest to transmog collectors and Murloc lovers.
What’s new? In total, two new “sets” of items have made it into the shop, sparking discussions once again. These are:
- Murloc Baby Totem: A set of 3 differently colored Murlocs that you can carry in a half shell on your back. Quite cute and definitely a head-turner, but it comes with a hefty price of €15 for all 3 colors.
- Skywatcher’s Ensemble: A complete set for transmogrification that is mostly suitable for cloth wearers due to its appearance. The set’s “star” effects somewhat resemble bosses like Algalon and look quite impressive visually. However, it comes at a price of €20.
Murlocs are free with a subscription: As usual, signing up for a 6-month subscription comes with a bonus. This time, it’s the little Murlocs as transmogrification for your cloak. Those who already have an active subscription for 6 months or are signing up now should have the Murlocs unlocked in the next few days. Generally, it can take a couple of days. So, if you do not find the Murlocs immediately in your cloak collection, just be a little patient.
Community reacts (once again) outraged: Not surprisingly, the timing of this release is not well received by players. Whether on the subreddit or major sites like wowhead, most are astonished that Blizzard is releasing such content almost simultaneously with the flare-up of new scandals. Some point out, however, that the dates for such releases are likely planned weeks in advance.
However, there are also voices that are satisfied with the offers. The Murlocs are unanimously described as “quite cute” and the transmog set is also well received. However, it is criticized that this set has no cut-outs, for example for Night Elf ears or Draenei horns. This was better and more elaborately done in one of the previous sets.
