The hints in World of Warcraft are intensifying. In Patch 10.1, you can earn a new Legendary – at least if you play the right class.
Legendary items are the best that can happen to a character in World of Warcraft. While these “Legendarys” were difficult to obtain in the early days of World of Warcraft and often belonged to only a few classes, there were plenty of them in “Legion” and “Shadowlands”, making the uniqueness of these items somewhat faded.
But with Dragonflight, Legendary items are rare again; so far, there have been none. However, that has changed with Patch 10.1 – only one class will probably get a Legendary.
Which class is the Legendary for? For the Evokers of the Dracthyr. This also fits the overall story told with Patch 10.1, Fury of Neltharion. After all, Aberrus is the birthplace of the Dracthyr, so a legendary item in this environment makes sense.

Where does the information come from? Even on the PTR of Patch 10.1, there were some hints of a legendary weapon found in the data mining. Now, another item has been found in the game data, the “Cracked Titan Gem”. A legendary item that is supposed to start a quest line and is only available for Evokers. The description reads:
This jewel contains a familiar energy. You feel drawn to it, almost as if it were tugging at your will.
This suggests that it is a gem of the glove that Neltharion once used to control the Dracthyr.
It is still unclear where the jewel comes from, but most suspect that it drops from the final boss Sarkareth – perhaps only at higher difficulty levels.
As of today, the raid Aberrus, Crucible of Shadows is open. Therefore, it’s only a matter of time before the first Evoker heroes unlock the quest line and set off on the hunt for their legendary weapon.
What kind of Legendary is it? That remains to be seen. So far, the data miners have not been able to clearly identify the legendary item. It is most likely still encrypted in the game data and will only be unlocked in the data when the first players unlock the legendary item.
Do you think it’s good that there are again Legendaries for a single class? Or is that “unfair” and every class should get one?
