A new mount in World of Warcraft can change its color – depending on your wishes. We will tell you how to unlock it.
In World of Warcraft, the Patch 11.0.7 is live and with it, the new area of the Sirens’ Island is accessible. While most of the island revolves around the Ring of Circe and numerous transmog rewards, there are also some interesting mounts. One of them is the “Prismatic Snapdragon.” However, to get it, you must stay on the ball for quite some time – 10 days, to be precise.
What kind of mount is this? The Prismatic Snapdragon is a mount that can change its color. Snapdragons were already used by the Naga in Warcraft 3 and are also quite closely associated with the underwater inhabitants in World of Warcraft. To unlock the mount, you must complete a quest every day, which becomes available after completing the main questline on the Sirens’ Island.
What do you need to do for the quests? The quests are all quite linear and not particularly complicated. Generally, it involves feeding the Snapdragon. The first time, you will receive the food from a goblin, but in the following days, you will need to gather the food yourself.
- Most of the time, you will need to find 8 units of mysterious meat. This drops on the Sirens’ Island from pretty much all animal creatures.
- On day 4, however, you will need to collect the meat from the respective enemy faction present (Pirates, Naga, or Vrykul).
- On day 7, you must enter the storm phase of the Sirens’ Island. This is only possible if you have completed all the other weekly quests. Note that the enemies here are almost all elite opponents. A group can be helpful if you can’t manage alone.
- On the last day (10), you simply need to talk to your Snapdragon. Then you will receive “Prismatic Snapdragon” as your mount and can henceforth use it everywhere as a ground mount.
The Snapdragon can have a total of 8 different colorations, allowing you to match the mount to your transmog and always have the right look.
Is it a problem if you miss a day? No, don’t worry. The Snapdragon does not “starve” just because you miss one day or several. The important thing is that you complete the quests over a total of 10 days. Whether there are multiple breaks between those days is not particularly important. You can unlock the mount at your own pace.
How can you color the Snapdragon? You can unlock the different colorations of the Snapdragon afterwards. Some drop from rares, others are (possibly) available through treasures. The exact sources are not known yet. However, it is clear that you can change the colorations with the NPC Zexel FingerSnap as you like, once you have unlocked them.
