The new secret mount Mimiron’s Jumpjets
can be unlocked in World of Warcraft. We will reveal how to do this quickly.
In World of Warcraft, there are numerous mounts, some of which are hidden behind complex puzzles. During the “Secrets of Azeroth” event, several permanent rewards were discovered that you can also earn after the event has ended. We will show you how to obtain the cool mount “Mimiron’s Jumpjets”.
What do you need for the mount? You need:
- The Upgraded Thinker’s Cap (explained below)
- The Torch of Pyrreth (explained below)
- Level 70
- At least 3 friends to help you
- 1-2 hours of time
Unlocking the toys
Before we can deal with Mimiron’s Jumpjets, you first need to unlock two toys that are required for the mount. So we will first explain how to obtain the “Upgraded Thinker’s Cap” and “Torch of Pyrreth”.
Unlocking the Upgraded Thinker’s Cap
The Upgraded Thinker’s Cap is a toy that provides you with a new coordinate system. It also has the added effect that some secrets can only be seen when wearing this cap. We will show you how to unlock the cap.
- Talk to Bobby Carlisle at the inn in Valdrakken to receive “Notes on Bobby Carlisle’s Thinker’s Cap”.
- Talk to Erugosa (also in the inn) to receive a shopping list.
- Buy 5 Thunderback Fillets from Agurahl the Butcher in the plains of Ohn’ahra (Coordinates 85 / 23).
- Buy Apexis Asiago from Gorgonzormu in Valdrakken (Coordinates 29 / 65).
- Buy 5 Grintal Fungus from Sniktak in Loamm, in the Zaralek Cave (Coordinates 54 / 57).
- Return to Erugosa and give her the items to receive 10x Thunderback Nest.
- Talk to Klikklik Clapswing in Valdrakken and receive the Thought Calculation Apparatus (Coordinates 42 / 49).
- Loot a “Fresh Tyranha” from “Hungry Tyranha” in Valdrakken. The fish swim in the river that flows out of Valdrakken (Coordinates 46 / 93).
- Talk to Gryffin in Valdrakken to receive the Fluffy Helmet Liner (Coordinates 43 / 49).
- Talk to Shakey Shortshot in Valdrakken (39 / 62). Directly pay him the 1,000 gold pieces to receive Crystalocular Lenses.
Now connect all 3 items to receive a new quest called “Unfinished Thinker’s Cap”. Submit this quest to Klaudia Huhu at the barber in Valdrakken and you will now have the Upgraded Thinker’s Cap!
Unlocking the Torch of Pyrreth
The Torch of Pyrreth is a toy that is needed for some puzzles. You can quickly unlock it through a short quest chain and then have it on all characters.
Travel to Valdrakken and go to the inn. There, talk to Tithris and complete the quest “Secure Artifact”. You will then receive hints on how to acquire the torch.
Next, travel to the Coast of Awakening to the Conservatory of Lifebinders. Use your Upgraded Thinker’s Cap here. Now you need to find a total of 3 levers, which can be found in the ruins of the area. The levers can be found at the following coordinates, each in the ruins of the houses:
- Lever 1: 57 / 26
- Lever 2: 58 / 24
- Lever 3: 57 / 20
Once you have activated all 3 levers, go into the ruins of the inn and examine the fire pit. On the inside of the fire pit (Coordinates 55 / 20), you can now see the torch. Click on it to receive a new quest. Then return to Valdrakken and submit the quest.
Unlocking the mount Mimiron’s Jumpjets
Now let’s get to the hidden mount – Mimiron’s Jumpjets. We will limit ourselves in this guide to the absolutely necessary steps – there were several other hints that ultimately led to the solution of this puzzle. For simplicity’s sake, we will omit those.
Step 1: The Southern Stranglethorn
Travel to the southern Stranglethorn, specifically to Jaguero Island. At coordinates 59 / 78, you will find three braziers. All three must be activated simultaneously. This is only possible if at least 3 players possess the Torch of Pyrreth and use it at the same time.
Now the elite enemy “Puzzle Guardian” will spawn, which you must defeat. He hits hard, so it’s better to have a tank in the group – or a tanking pet.
Loot the “First Booster Part” from the enemy.
Step 2: The Felwood
Next, travel to the Felwood, to coordinates 50 / 26. Here you will find a large water elemental and a machine nearby. A player must use the machine to gain control over the water elemental. As the water elemental, you must now devour the other players.
Once all players have been sucked in, the entity explodes and you can loot the “Second Booster Part”.
Step 3: The Blasted Lands
The last part is simply lying on the ground, namely in the Blasted Lands at coordinates 55 / 52 – right in front of the Dark Portal.
However, picking it up takes a long time and is interrupted if you take damage. Since troops constantly assault from the portal, this is quite difficult. At the same time, 2 cannons are shooting at you, which are positioned on the left and right of the portal. First, destroy the cannons and then try around until you find a suitable spot where you can loot the “Third Booster Part”.
If you have problems, you can also loot the part in turn while your friends hold back the attacking enemies.
Step 4: Build Mimiron’s Jumpjets
The last step is easy, as you just need to return to Valdrakken. Travel to the Arcane Forge, which is located in the crafting district – you can also see it prominently on the map.
At the forge, you could receive a special achievement for a short time.
Once you are at the forge, you just need to click on one of the three booster parts in your inventory to connect them. You now have “Mimiron’s Jumpjets” and thus a pretty impressive mount, which you can show off with and soon fly also on the Dragon Isles.
