Some mounts in World of Warcraft are extremely rare. However, one group has hit the jackpot and may have set a record.
In World of Warcraft, there are numerous mounts that are only dropped by certain bosses. While there are a few exceptions that are guaranteed to drop, most mounts have a low drop chance of under 1%.
This is also true for the “Reins of the Deathcharger”, which can be dropped by Baron Aurius Rivendare, the final boss of the Stratholme dungeon. The reins have a drop chance of 0.8%, making them a rarity. Numerous players farm this mount for weeks and months, but never have any luck. A dungeon group, on the other hand, leaves everyone green with envy.

What happened? A random group couldn’t believe their eyes as they looted the final boss in Stratholme. Not just one player received the coveted undead mount, not two – but a total of three players went home with a mount. A screenshot of this was quickly posted on Reddit to share the good fortune with the world.
Community shows jealousy: The initial reactions are quite envious and sometimes really harsh. One can read “Eat shit and die”, followed by a direct apology. Others, however, congratulate and praise the luck of the players, while they themselves have already made over 450 visits to the dungeon and are still dreaming of that mount.
Have you already obtained the mount from Baron Rivendare? Or have you had no luck and eventually just given up? After all, such a “run” at max level should only take a few minutes.
