World of Warcraft is once again offering some exclusive rewards through Twitch Drops. We reveal when and how you can get them.
At Blizzard, they have been heavily promoting for several months now, especially when it comes to the Twitch platform. Almost with every new release of a patch or new season, there are different goodies for the respective games.
Fans of World of Warcraft are particularly happy because they can grab rewards that would otherwise only be obtainable through a lot of money. Soon there will be two new great items that you can receive.
What rewards are available? For the launch of Patch 10.1 Fury of Neltharion, there are two rewards that were previously only available through the (long discontinued) “Warcraft Trading Card Game”.
- Translucent Portal (Toy): A special Hearthstone that summons a portal when used, known especially from the Astral realms of the shattered world.
- Flaming Hippogryph (Mount): A hippogryph with a unique fire look reminiscent of the Firelands.
How do you get the rewards? To receive the two items, you must first link your Twitch account with your Battle.net account. Then during the respective event period, watch 4 hours of content related to World of Warcraft. Valid channels usually have a note indicating that they have “Drops” enabled. You can also check your progress anytime.
When are the promotions active? Depending on which rewards you want to grab, you need to tune in at different times.
- Translucent Portal: Watch 4 hours between May 2nd 7:00 PM and May 10th 8:59 AM.
- Flaming Hippogryph: Watch 4 hours between May 9th 7:00 PM and May 18th 8:59 AM.
Do you have to watch actively? No, it’s not necessary. Those who are only interested in the rewards can open the stream, mute it, and just let it run in the background until the required time is reached. However, you might discover some interesting content creators whose content you enjoy along the way.
