If guild leaders in World of Warcraft can’t find members, they look over Tinder – and are quickly punished for it.
Although Blizzard is currently addressing and fixing some issues of World of Warcraft, many guilds are currently struggling. Numerous players have taken a break and likely won’t look back at Azeroth until the next big Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara. A lack of raid-capable guildmates is the result.
Guild leaders need creative recruitment: To combat the decline in players, guild and raid leaders need to come up with something more creative than just spamming the next guild recruitment macro in trade chat with the same spelling mistakes. New ways of communication could be the key to success.
Finding teammates over Tinder: Apparently, guild master Leathyl thought of this too and quickly created a Tinder profile for his guild. Instead of finding hot flirts or the right partner for “Netflix&Chill”, Tinder users now had guild advertising on their screens.

However, according to Leathyl, the fun didn’t last particularly long. Just three hours after the profile was created, it was already banned by Tinder. Apparently, most other users did not find it that funny.
Whether he had success with this method is unfortunately not clear. However, it is likely that the corresponding post on Reddit is now bringing more attention than the Tinder profile did.
Tinder has also been used in the past for guild searching.
How is your guild doing currently? Are all your members still active and do you have enough teammates for current content? Or are many players taking a break and waiting for the next big patch?
