Blizzard listens to the pleas of players from World of Warcraft and breaks down many reputation barriers. We reveal what exactly is happening.
In the past few weeks, there has been a discussion that has repeatedly sparked in the forums of World of Warcraft and on Reddit. Reputation in World of Warcraft can be tedious, as it is bound to a single character.
This makes it difficult for players to start a new character that has to start from scratch. Many reputation restrictions will be lifted in Patch 8.1 “Tides of Vengeance”.
Freedom for transmog fans: For all those who want a cool transmogification for their twinks, there is good news. Items that usually have a reputation requirement, such as cloaks or armor from the individual reputation vendors, can be used for transmogification by twinks in Patch 8.1 as well.
You have unlocked the cloak of the Hochberg tribe, but your twink hasn’t earned the reputation yet? No problem: You can still use it for transmogification.
Reputation achievements will be account-wide: A second relief is available for all players working towards the major achievements that require 80, 90, or even 100 reputation factions to be exalted. This progress will now be account-wide.
An example: If character A has 10 factions exalted, while character B has 20 other factions exalted, then you have a total of 30 factions exalted.
All information about Patch 8.1 is available in our extensive overview for you.
No “double” factions: However, “mirror” factions do not count as double. These are reputation factions that have a counterpart in both Horde and Alliance. For example, “The Eidgebunden” (Horde) and “The 7th Legion” (Alliance) would be considered the same faction for the achievement.
Twink bonus for Champions of Azeroth: It gets really good for twink fans who want to quickly raise their Heart of Azeroth to a high level. If one of your characters has already earned exalted reputation with the Champions of Azeroth, all second characters can go to Magni immediately and receive the “+15 item level” upgrade, even though they do not yet have the reputation themselves.
What do you think of these changes? Are you satisfied with it and is it a good solution? Or should reputation really apply to all characters so that rewards can be purchased directly?
