The upcoming hotfix in WoW Shadowlands will adjust the amount of rewards you will receive in the raids. Here are the changes that will go live with the hotfix next week.
What will be changed? Blizzard has announced that they will adjust the amount of loot you receive in Castle Nathria in a hotfix. You can soon expect more loot when you complete the raids in WoW:
- Bosses now drop 33% more loot than before
- The weapon tokens will drop with a higher probability
Both changes apply to all difficulty levels of the Nathria raid.
The drop rate of gear will also depend on the number of players in the raid group:
- 10-player raids will receive 2 items of armor from each boss
- 20-player raids will receive 4 items of armor from each boss
Other drops in the castle will not be affected by these changes. This includes Legendary Memories, for example.
When will the patch go live? The hotfix will be implemented on the servers with the weekly server maintenance on February 16. Starting next week, you will get more loot in the raids.
Too little loot frustrated the players
What was the problem with the loot? WoW players have been frustrated for some time about the low amount of loot they received from the Nathria raid.
Due to a bug, groups of 20 players originally received 5 items of armor each. However, this has been fixed, and the number of drops has been reduced to the planned 3, according to Community Manager Kaivax.
Some in the WoW community felt this was too little. The nerf of the drop rates was too severe, and the raids no longer felt rewarding. Voices were raised demanding more loot in raids.

We want to implement the dungeon improvements as soon as possible while discussing the right approach to enhance other gear sources such as raiding or world content.
