The story of World of Warcraft continues. With the maintenance work, a new quest has been unlocked that further unfolds the fate of Saurfang.
With today’s maintenance (December 19, 2018), there was at least a nice surprise for all Horde players, as a new quest line was unlocked. On the mission ship at the port of Zuldazar, a dark ranger named Alina has a new quest for players at max level. It is about the fate of Saurfang.
What is the quest about? Highlord Saurfang has been in captivity of the Alliance since the intro of Battle for Azeroth. After some conversations with Anduin, he is released during the “Lost Honor” cinematics, hoping that he can lead the Horde on a better path than Sylvanas has.
Sylvanas, on the other hand, now sees Saurfang as a traitor and sends the hero along with one of her dark rangers to locate and “bring him back”.
Also joining is the popular “Zappy Boi”, who has won over players’ hearts in this cinematic and together with Saurfang sparked the “No Shoulders” movement.
Players can choose: Throughout the quest line, players are faced with a difficult choice. Do they want to ally with Saurfang and resist Sylvanas? Or will they remain loyal to the Banshee Queen and the current Warchief?
Depending on the decision, the quest line will take a different course and there will be different rewards. To experience both sides, players will need to guide at least two characters on the Horde side through the quest line.
Even though Saurfang’s fate does not come to a conclusion, the quest line initiates important steps that will surely culminate in the course of Patch 8.3 or perhaps 8.4.
