The battle royale mode of Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch today! You can download the game from the Nintendo eShop starting at 7:00 PM German time.
In the trailer for the Nintendo Direct at E3 2018, only the PvP mode Battle Royale was shown. It is not clearly stated whether the Survival mode “Save the World” is also included in the game.
Confusion about the download of Fortnite on Switch in Germany: Fortnite has been available for download in the USA since 7:00 PM German time. This was also announced in the press conference. In Germany, however, according to the official German Nintendo trailer for Fortnite, you can only download it from 11:00 PM.
What is Fortnite: Battle Royale? You are dropped over an island and must compete against 99 other players. The one who remains at the end wins. Along the way, you will find various weapons, and in addition to your shooting skills, you will also need to build fortifications for protection.
Crossplay: Fortnite will support crossplay on the Switch, on almost all platforms. But the rule is:
Age Rating: Fortnite is recommended for children aged 12 and up according to the USK. However, Fortnite Battle Royale on the Switch is recommended for ages 16 and up.
