For just under 300 US dollars, you could be the next Lich King. At least if you want a small Helm of Domination.
In World of Warcraft there is no Lich King anymore. First, the Orc Ner’zhul was the master of the undead, then Arthas Menethil and finally Bolvar Fordragon. Ultimately, the helm was destroyed by Sylvanas Windrunner in the opening of the current WoW expansion Shadowlands. Apparently, Blizzard was still able to secure the blueprints, because just in time for BlizzConline on February 19, there will be a statue of the helm available for purchase in Blizzard’s Gear Shop.
How much does the helm cost? In the US store of Blizzard, the helm will cost $299.99. A price in euros has not yet been confirmed, but it usually is quite close to the dollar price. So expect that the helm will probably cost between €250 and €300. We will surely find out the exact price at BlizzCon.
Can you wear the helm? No, probably not. For one, it’s not entirely clear whether the helm is even intended to be removed from the pedestal. On the other hand, the dimensions are a bit smaller than what the helm would likely be. Thus, it should not be possible to wear the helm with an average standard-sized head.
How big is the helm? According to information available to Wowhead, the helm measures just under 39 cm in height, 15 cm in width, and just under 22 cm in depth. When fixed on the pedestal, it reaches a total height of about 43 cm, making it a nice decorative piece for aspiring Lich Kings and Queens. The helm is mostly made of resin, specifically polyresin.
Will you get the Helm of Domination? Or is the price too high for a helm that you can’t even put on?
Other things look rather strange in WoW – like these NPCs that were specially modified in China.
