Do you want to fly in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth ? We will tell you how to unlock flying in Zandalar and Kul Tiras.
For a while now, the major Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara in World of Warcraft is live. This means, alongside a lot of quests, areas, and other content, players can unlock flying for the current content again. We will tell you how to take off with your character soon.
Crucial for flying is the completion of both achievements “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth (Part 1)” and “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth (Part 2)”.
What you need to do for Part 1: The first part of the achievement has been achievable for many months. Most characters will have completed this part by now. If not, make sure you meet the following points:
- For the Alliance, these are:
- Royal Navy
- Order of Embers
- The Stormwatch
- 7th Legion
- Champions of Azeroth
- Tortollan Seekers
- For the Horde, these are:
- Zandalari Empire
- Talanji’s Expedition
- Voldunai
- The Tidebound
- Champions of Azeroth
- Tortollan Seekers
Once that’s done, there will already be a bonus to riding speed in Battle for Azeroth.
What you need to do for Part 2: For Part 2, the requirements are significantly lighter, focusing exclusively on the content from Patch 8.2 Rise of Azshara. However, they will still require some time and can be fulfilled “on the side” over the weeks.
- Explore Nazjatar and uncover all areas of the map.
- Explore Mechagon and uncover all areas of the map.
- Achieve the rank “Respectful” with the Rustbolt Resistance in Mechagon.
- Achieve the rank “Respectful” with the Ankoan (Alliance) or the Unshackled (Horde) in Nazjatar.
- Once both achievements are completed, you can finally take off again and use your flying mounts.
How much time does it take? If you haven’t met any requirements yet, you will need to plan a bit more time, as completing the “base game” of Battle for Azeroth takes a lot of time. However, if you only need to complete Part 2 of the achievement, meaning the content from Patch 8.2, you should plan about one to two weeks before you can take to the skies again.
Where can flying be done? Flying is possible in all areas, including the new zones Nazjatar and Mechagon. This will significantly reduce the time needed to complete all content!
The flight unlock is account-wide. This means that your alt characters can also fly – even before level 120. So, it’s a worthwhile thing for leveling up twinks.
Is there an additional reward? Besides flying, the achievement also brings a new flying mount. In the future, you can take to the skies on a mechanical bird if you feel like it. It’s included for free with the flying ability in Battle for Azeroth.
Are you already working on unlocking flying? Or is it not a priority for you?
