Fresh characters at level 60 only had outdated gear in World of Warcraft . A hotfix has now fixed this issue – and almost completely removed the problem.
With patch 9.1.5, Blizzard has significantly simplified the leveling of characters in World of Warcraft. Many catch-up mechanics ensure that a fresh hero at level 60 is ready for action soon. However, the biggest downside so far has been the missing gear – but this has now been addressed with a hotfix.
What was the problem? A fresh character at level 60 must collect all gear starting from the lowest item level. They first find media through world quests at item level 145 (or slightly higher, depending on equipment). Gear constitutes a large part of a character’s strength. Therefore, one must farm all gear before truly being a useful team member in dungeons, raids, or PvP.
What has WoW changed? “In passing,” Blizzard introduced a new item called “Incense of Infinity”. You can purchase this from the NPC “Au’Dara”. She is located in Oribos on the upper level, right next to the flight master, and costs a mere 500 gold coins.
If a character uses this item, they learn all gear from their current covenant at item level 200.
This is still not the maximum, but most gear at this level already possesses a large part of its power. From there, it is significantly easier to upgrade only the desired gear in Korthia and Torghast or obtain it from dungeons and raids.
What are the requirements? To purchase the item, at least one character on your account must have reached covenant rank 80. Anyone who has played somewhat actively should have accomplished this. The corresponding character can then buy the “Incense of Infinity” and easily send it to all secondary characters. They can use the item even if the character is just freshly level 60 and has chosen a covenant.
