Boredom in World of Warcraft? Take a cue from this player. He has collected all achievements and “completed” WoW: Shadowlands.
World of Warcraft Shadowlands is full of achievements. Sure, over 8 expansions, a lot of achievements have found their way into the game. Hardly anyone is able to complete all of them during their lifetime – no matter how hard they try. One player has managed to do exactly that.
What happened? Player Billym from the guild “Disney World” on the Brazilian realm Azralon has amassed the impressive figure of over 36,000 achievement points. A screenshot shows that he has completed all 4,223 achievements – all 10 bars of the individual categories are fully filled.
What do achievement points bring in WoW? As in most games, achievement points bring nothing in World of Warcraft. While there are indeed exclusive rewards for certain achievements, the mere point value serves no purpose. It is merely an indicator for collectors and a way to compare oneself with other players and their progress and certainly to show off a bit.
Which achievements were particularly laborious? Since Shadowlands introduced a lot of grinds, they were mainly time-consuming. However, the last achievement Billym completed was “Adventure: Into the Breach.” This is one of the achievements that can be earned at the covenant mission tables, but it requires luck. The necessary missions only appear randomly and can sometimes be quite tough. Without a strong team of adventurers, they are – depending on the covenant – hardly manageable.
Did he really complete “all” achievements? That depends on how you count. Considering the achievements in the game, Billym has collected all achievements. However, if you take a look at his achievements in the Armory (the official WoW website), there are a whole range of achievements missing. This is because a character – in theory – can collect all achievements of all covenants if they switch covenants multiple times. However, only the achievements of the currently active covenant are displayed in the game.
Billym, however, may not be able to rest long on his achievements. Because soon comes Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination – and it brings a whole range of new achievements that will then need to be completed to fully fill the miserable progress bars again.
