Will we soon continue in WoW: Shadowlands? An early clue for Patch 9.1.5 has appeared in the game data and fuels the hopes of the players.
In World of Warcraft, players have been forced to prepare for a major content drought. However, this might be shorter than previously feared. An initial entry in the game files raises hopes that there could be a bit of support sooner than expected.
This is the current state: In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, there is currently a lack of content. The final chapter of the current campaign has been unlocked and now begins the content drought, where players primarily complete the Sanctum of Domination raid, “Mythic+” dungeons, and PvP. New story content is not to be expected.
Due to the long waiting time between Patch 9.0 and Patch 9.1, most players assume that it will now take 6 months or longer until the next update.
What has been discovered now? As reported by wowhead, initial clues for Patch 9.1.5 have been discovered in the game files, specifically in the code of the interface addons. There is now a note indicating that certain lines of code are outdated with Patch 9.1.5 and are no longer needed and will “be removed with the next expansion”.
Even though this is not yet a confirmation for a release date for Patch 9.1.5, it represents the first clue for the next patch that exists at all. Therefore, many assume that the PTR for Patch 9.1.5 could start in the coming weeks. This would mean that the waiting time might be a bit shorter than initially feared by everyone.
What could be included in Patch 9.1.5? Patch 9.1.5 will traditionally be a rather smaller patch, primarily bringing improvements and “trinkets”. Blizzard might revive old systems and introduce a few novelties, but they will be small. Examples would be:
- Some new world quests
- New cosmetic rewards
- Revival of the brawl guild with Shadowlands
- A few small side questlines
- Improvements to Mythic+
