Group players should be excited soon. Because in World of Warcraft, you will soon be able to trade your Azerite armor with each other.
With Battle for Azeroth, there is so-called Azerite armor in World of Warcraft. These are specific items for chest, shoulders, and head, in which special talents can be unlocked. Until now, these items could not be traded with each other, but that will change. Soon you will be able to exchange armor with other players!
In the developer Q&A, Game Director Ion Hazzikostas explained that Azerite armor can be traded in the future. This should please all players who often venture out as a group. They can push armor to each other, ensuring that all players are equipped simultaneously and none falls behind due to “drop luck”.
Only group members can trade. Of course, the other conditions for trading soulbound gear apply. You can also only give Azerite armor to players who were present at the kill of the respective boss. The two-hour time window for trading remains in place. Thus, Azerite armor will in the future be treated like any other boss loot.
Why was trading prohibited? Until now, players could not trade Azerite armor to avoid social pressure to pass on the “best” piece for a class to other players. Additionally, it takes time to weigh new bonuses against current bonuses. However, the complaints were so great that Blizzard changed the plan. According to Hazzikostas, “the positive aspects of the trading ban do not outweigh the negative sides” – and it will be abolished.
The corresponding hotfix will be implemented as planned with the weekly maintenance – on the upcoming Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Do you think it’s good that Azerite armor will soon be tradable? Or was it better that there was never a dispute about whether you should give up an item?
