World of Warcraft fulfills players’ wishes. Soon they will be able to buy Corruption effects as desired!
The Reputation Buff in World of Warcraft is ending. But the developers have already come up with something new to keep players engaged. A new update will ensure that many sources of frustration disappear, Twinks become stronger, and the overall power of characters can grow. We will reveal to you what changes are coming your way.
Corruption effects can be purchased intentionally
The best change for many players may be that it will soon be possible to purchase Corruption effects as desired. This works through the currency “Echoes of Ny’alotha” at MOTHER in the Heart Chamber.
What does MOTHER sell? MOTHER has a changing assortment of Corruption effects every few days. She offers all possible ranks of all types of corruption, but always only a few of them. Every Wednesday and Saturday, when N’Zoth’s attacks rotate, her assortment changes. Taking a look at MOTHER’s inventory every few days is likely to be worthwhile to get the desired corruption.
On which items can Corruption effects be applied? This is generally possible on all items that are permissible for it – meaning no jewelry and not the legendary cloak or the Heart of Azeroth.
Corruption effects cannot be applied to items that are already corrupted. Therefore, double corruption is not possible.
At the same time, it is probably not going to be possible to corrupt an item that has already been purified. Blizzard is trying to make this possible, but they encountered technical problems, so it will likely not be included at the launch of this feature.
What is the currency used to buy Corruption? For this, players will use Echoes of Ny’alotha. These have already been used by players to equip Twinks with essences at rank 3. In the future, they will also be able to buy Corruption items with Echoes. Echoes will also drop for characters who cannot unlock rank 3 essences from MOTHER.
You can get Echoes from the same sources as before as well.
The legendary cloak will be easier
Blizzard is drastically simplifying the quests to upgrade the legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas. In the future, the cloak will reach level 15 much faster. This is because Blizzard is changing all the quests in the chain so that they can each be completed in a single visit to a Disturbing Vision .
If a quest wanted you to collect 4, 6, or even 8 pages from the heavy bonus areas, that number will be reduced to 2. So if you fully complete a vision, you are guaranteed to collect enough pages to turn in the quest.
In other words: Upgrading from rank 1 to rank 15 will only take 15 visits to the Disturbing Visions if you collect the maximum number of pages each time.
When will the patch come? There is still no exact time for this. Blizzard only stated that the update should go live “later in the week”. When exactly this will happen remains to be seen.
