Many small improvements make Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft more enjoyable in the raid. Issues that have existed for 20 years are being fixed.
One of the major highlights of World of Warcraft in the upcoming Patch 11.1 Undermine(d) is the new raid “The Liberation of Lorenhall”. Blizzard aims to try something new here and resolve long-standing issues with a system that has also helped with other challenges. The new raid features a fame system that unlocks numerous rewards and conveniences in the raid.
Currently, there’s the Siren Island to explore in WoW:
What is Blizzard changing? With the Liberation of Lorenhall, there is a new fame faction whose progress you primarily gain in the associated raid. The rewards differ from other fame factions, as you primarily unlock advantages in the new raid. The fame faction is named “Gallagio Loyalty”.
Fame factions for raids are not entirely new. Raids have had their own reputation factions in the past, such as in the Molten Core or Ahn’Qiraj. However, this has significantly less functionality than in this case.
What rewards are there? The bonuses are extremely extensive and bring some nice upgrades that raid fans have wished for a long time. For example, you can resurrect yourself after a wipe – and that without a soulstone. An auction house, profession tables, and faster consumption of buff food are included.
However, the various coins that you can unlock are particularly appealing. These are similar to dinars from Shadowlands, allowing you to specifically purchase some raid gear if, for example, you have no luck with drops.
You can see all the rewards in this table:
| Fame Level | Rewards and Unlocks |
|---|---|
| 1 | Profession tables, vendors, and crafting quest NPCs can be found in the raid. |
| 2 | Food is eaten 100% faster. You can use the destroyed rune dispenser for a chance at a reinforcement rune every week. |
| 3 | Transmogrifications and item upgrades are now possible with NPCs in the raid. |
| 4 | Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by 3% in the raid. You receive a teleport item that takes you back to the hub of the raid. |
| 5 | You can use repair stations that offer repairs and remove the combat frenzy debuff. |
| 6 | You move 10% faster outside of combat in the raid. You can resurrect with 10% HP outside of combat. |
| 7 | Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by a total of 6% in the raid. |
| 8 | After defeating the boss Vexie, you can use a shortcut in the raid. |
| 9 | The NPCs Snix and Skitto sell various goods to you. |
| 10 | Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by a total of 9% in the raid. |
| 11 | You move 20% faster outside of combat in the raid. You receive a fake coin that you can exchange for a transmog reward. |
| 12 | An NPC sells you a sauce that increases the effectiveness of your consumables. |
| 13 | Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by a total of 12% in the raid. |
| 14 | The rune dispenser now always gives at least one reinforcement rune but has a chance to grant up to 3 of them. |
| 15 | You receive another fake coin that you can exchange for transmog. The one-armed bandit can now drop fake coins that you can exchange for transmog. |
| 16 | Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by a total of 15% in the raid. |
| 17 | You receive a cartel coin that you can exchange for a loot piece of your choice. |
| 18 | You can use an auction house in the raid. You move 30% faster outside of combat in the raid. |
| 19 | You receive a final cartel coin that you can exchange for a loot piece of your choice. Your warband’s damage and healing is increased by a total of 18% in the raid. |
| 20 | You receive Flarendo’s key and thus a new mount. You receive the title “High Roller”. You receive a teleport spell that can take you to the raid from anywhere in the world. |
Note that the table still corresponds to the PTR of Patch 11.1. Details may still change by the time of release.
It is still unknown how quickly various levels are unlocked and whether this happens at the same speed across all difficulty levels. We will have to wait for the first tests until we know specifically how quickly the individual bonuses are unlocked. In any case, it’s a nice addition that you passively unlock additional rewards in the raid and even partially adopt the popular dinar system.
Until the raid appears, you can earn some transmogs on the Siren Island.
