In World of Warcraft, there will soon finally be proper beach outfits. Bikinis, swim trunks, and even a deck chair are expected to provide a relaxing vacation feel.
The trading post has already fulfilled many transmog wishes for players. Every month brings new, interesting items that allow for a bit more customization of one’s character. However, there is one category of items that WoW fans have essentially been waiting for 20 years: swimwear.
That will soon come to an end, as the first beach outfits have been discovered on the PTR for Patch 10.2.7.
What was discovered? Various beach outfits were identified on the PTR for Patch 10.2.7. Essentially, it seems there are two different outfits in different color variations.
- For men, there is a pair of swim trunks with a shirt, flip flops, a Murloc life preserver, and a flower necklace.
- Female characters can look forward to a bikini with a net skirt and beach hats with oversized sunglasses.
Whether the outfits can also be worn by the other body type or if they then transform into the corresponding version is still not entirely clear.
Also discovered was a beach chair in bright rainbow colors. It could, for example, belong to a toy, but that is not yet certain.
Where does the information come from? The images were created by colleagues from wowhead after they searched the PTR for Patch 10.2.7 through data mining. They noticed not only many interesting beach transmogs but also a first new in-game model for Xal’atath, who will play a significant role in the next expansion “The War Within”.
When will the items come? While this is still uncertain, it can be assumed that the swimwear and the rainbow beach chair will probably arrive in June. This is not only the start of summer for many but also the “Pride Month”, which makes cosmetic items in rainbow colors fit perfectly. Therefore, it can be expected that Patch 10.2.7 will be released by the end of May at the latest.
