A new hotfix brings many improvements, but also some buffs for the bosses in the latest World of Warcraft raid. And Tazavesh is also getting fixed.
Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination has been playable in World of Warcraft for a few weeks now. The Sanctum of Domination has been cleared on Mythic, and many players have also mastered Tazavesh in Hardmode. However, there were some particularly frustrating bugs that drove many players to their wits’ end.
The cursed “P.O.S.T. Master” no longer causes frustration.
What was the issue? The fight against the P.O.S.T. Master in Tazavesh requires good coordination. Various effects need to be caught, and above all, a series of explosive packages need to be brought to a specific location. Failing to do this with even one of several packages almost guarantees a loss of the encounter.
Frustratingly, since the launch of the patch, there has been a bug where players could not pick up the packages, no matter what they did. Several players were affected, and this made the encounter virtually impossible to complete.
This was the reason for the bug: The reason for the bug is as absurd as the entire dungeon. In the patch notes, Blizzard states that “a bug has been fixed that prevented players from picking up Unstable Goods when entering the combat room on a mount.”
So the origin of the bug was mounts. It’s quite a revelation.
What else was fixed? A whole lot. There were a number of bug fixes in dungeons, as well as a handful of buffs and nerfs for various encounters in the Sanctum of Domination raid. Here are the complete changes:
Sanctum of Domination
- Remnants of Ner’zhul
- Spheres of Torment can no longer perform melee attacks.
- Tormentor Raznal
- The spikes that emerge from the ground now deal their damage more appropriately based on the animation of the respective spikes.
- Guardians of the First
- The physical damage component of Obliteration is now correctly amplified by the Weakness effect of Obliteration, and the vulnerability has been increased to 5,000% in heroic and mythic difficulty (from 500%).
- Kel’Thuzad
- Soulsplitters no longer disappear if the target dies from Soul Fracture prematurely.
- Sylvanas Windrunner
- A bug was fixed that could cause Sylvanas to use her chains of domination in quick succession when her health was particularly close to a phase transition.
- A bug was fixed that allowed Thrall to apply Dark Watchers with a knockback.
- Bolvar should now reliably channel Winds of Icecrown on Mythic difficulty.
- A bug was fixed that prevented various adds in the encounter from triggering procs caused by a kill.
- A bug was fixed that caused Merciless to create an unreliable amount of area.
- A bug was fixed that caused players to be teleported to the wrong location at the start of Phase 3.
- Sylvanas should now reposition defeated players between platforms after casting Tear Asunder.
- A bug was fixed that caused Veils of Darkness to be active on targets but not deal damage.
Mythic+
- Oros Coldheart’s Frost Lance can no longer knock back or harm companions.
- Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
- A bug in the P.O.S.T. has been fixed that prevented players from picking up unstable goods when entering the P.O.S.T. on a mount.
Did you suffer from these issues or even exploit the advantages of buggy boss abilities in the raid?
