For many years, players have desired alpacas in World of Warcraft. Now, that wish is coming true, and it’s happening twice. In addition to new mounts, a new pet has also been announced.
What kind of pet is this? The new alpaca pet is named Dottie and will accompany you on long journeys through Azeroth in the future. It will be available as a charity pet in the shop and can be purchased for 10 Euros.
This 10 Euros will not go to Blizzard, but will be donated to charity. The proceeds from all Dotties sold until December 31 will go 50% to the organizations Make-A-Wish and WE.org.
Dottie will be automatically unlocked for all existing and future characters.
If you can’t get enough of Dottie, you can also purchase the alpaca as a plush toy directly from the Blizzard Store. It costs $29.99, but shipping costs of $24.99 will be added, as it is only offered in America.
From this purchase, $10 will go to charitable causes.
What am I supporting? The Make-A-Wish Foundation is dedicated to fulfilling heartfelt wishes of critically ill children. They can realize dreams like being a police officer or meeting a special idol.
WE.org is an organization that works on development programs in the third world. They support access to food, water, education, and health.
Similar initiatives have taken place in the past. In 2018, you could buy the cute yeti Whomper, and in 2016 the Evil Cat.
Alpacas are very popular
How are players reacting to Dottie? Many players react positively to the pet under the YouTube video. User Pistachio writes: Cuteness Overload.
Other users are also excited about sweet Dottie. No wonder, many players have been waiting for alpacas in WoW for years. The desire for these animals in Azeroth was voiced as early as 2011.

Alpacas come not only as pets: With Patch 8.3, which is also meant to make the mythic dungeons harder, new mounts will be introduced to the game.
Among these are also alpacas.
So, if you are a big fan of these animals, you will soon be fully satisfied.
