Are you restless and impatient in World of Warcraft? No problem: Fidget Spinners have now made their way into Azeroth.
In Patch 8.1 Vengeance Waves of World of Warcraft, there is plenty to see. Whether you want to experience the new episodes of the war campaign, dive into the warfront of Darkshore, or check out the reworked Island Expeditions. Everywhere there is something to experience.
But the best feature is a new toy that finally gives me a purpose in times of aimlessness: A Fidget Spinner, or “Hand Spinner” in World of Warcraft.
What does the Hand Spinner do? Exactly the same as in real life. The character places it on their hand and then it spins. During this time, the character cannot do anything else. You can spin the top endlessly or let it run out, which ends the effect.
What sounds so simple is a toy that has already greatly enhanced my game after just one day, as it also has a nice passive-aggressive component.
- The mage takes too long to open the portal? Just stand next to them with the Hand Spinner.
- The warrior just doesn’t want to charge into the next group? Hand Spinner and off we go.
- The monk “just needs to adjust their talents”? The Fidget Spinner bridges the time.
For some, this may sound silly, but I’ve already had more fun with this toy than with many other items in WoW.
Where can you find the Hand Spinner? The Hand Spinner: Shield Guard’s Cleaver drops from Commander Ral’esh, a rare elite in Darkshore. However, the Naga doesn’t always have the toy, so you’ll need to kill him with several characters or over the course of several months.
At least: For me, it’s a solid alternative to running back and forth from the mission table to the bank 20 times an hour, just to forget halfway through what you actually wanted at each station. I’d rather watch my virtual Fidget Spinner and hope it doesn’t chop off my Draenei’s fingers…
