Although the community uncovers many secrets in WoW , Blizzard remains calm. “This is just the beginning,” say the developers.
So much more to discover in Legion
There has never been so much to discover in any other expansion of World of Warcraft as there is this time in “Legion”. Normally, it only takes a few hours for players to uncover all the “secrets” of an expansion, but in these cases, several days passed. The hidden world boss Kosumoth, for which 10 orbs scattered across the new continent must be pressed in the correct order, was only deciphered a few days ago. Yesterday, the solution to the riddle of the “long-forgotten hippogryph”, for which one must click on 5 hidden shards to obtain a mount that has been hidden in the game data since 2007, followed.
Yet despite these spectacular discoveries, Blizzard has little more than a tired smile for the players’ achievements, as they claim this is just the beginning.
The Systems Designer Russ Petersen from Blizzard, who is responsible for loot distribution in the game among other things, writes on Twitter:
“I love the ‘players found the most convoluted/hidden secret in WoW ever!’ that both revolve around player cooperation. You guys haven’t seen anything yet.”
And indeed, there are still plenty of things in the game world for which fans have no answers yet. What is up with the large krakens in various locations in Highmountain, which do not attack anyone and also do not resist when killed? Why are there sometimes “pink feathers” in Suramar that look like a spell from the priest but do not trigger any effect? What about the tribe of the Tauren, who are (still) waiting for the attack of Deathwing? There is much to discover and even more to ponder.
Mein-MMO says: Blizzard knows how to keep the player base on their toes this time, and the wealth of potential hidden secrets is still vast. Especially many of the hidden designs for artifact weapons are still pending, and players are only beginning to understand how and where the individual keys for the various secrets are hidden. No matter how you look at it: it’s an exciting time for WoW players.
