Your Twinks in WoW can more easily obtain essences for the Heart of Azeroth. We reveal all the details and how long you will still need to farm.
A few days ago, Blizzard announced that essences for the Heart of Azeroth in World of Warcraft will be much easier to obtain – at least on second characters. Although technically these are not the desired “account-wide essences”, the acquisition of essences on Twinks is significantly simplified.
The developers have now released the details of the new system, so every player can imagine how long it will take to acquire a specific essence.
What will change? The Heart of Azeroth is a problem for Twinks since they often have not unlocked strong essences. However, these make up a large part of the character’s power. To ensure that not every character has to farm old content for weeks to unlock the corresponding essences, there is now a simplified system using a new currency.
How does the new system work? Starting from March 18, 2020, characters from many activities will receive a new currency called “Echoes of Ny’alotha”. With each 500 Echoes, you can go to MOTHER in the Heart Chamber and exchange them for an essence at rank 3 – at least if that essence has already been unlocked on another character.
How do you get Echoes of Ny’alotha? Echoes of Ny’alotha can be obtained from almost all current activities. You can find the exact amounts in this table:

What does this mean? In plain terms, this means that depending on your playstyle, you can unlock about one essence per week and per character. If you play all types of content, you might even get two essences. While this still involves some farming and grinding, it is significantly less than before and can be completely completed in current content.

The hotfix on Wednesday brings even more: Along with the Echoes of Ny’alotha players will also receive much more Corrupted Gear.
