Where should I actually farm reputation in WoW Dragonflight? This is a question some players are asking. MeinMMO reveals which of the 4 major factions you can learn new recipes from and gain profession knowledge.
Professions and crafting have regained greater importance in WoW Dragonflight, and you can even create really strong items with them. However, you first need to skill the corresponding professions.
With many crafting professions, around skill 70 is the limit where progress becomes very slow or costly to obtain skill points or knowledge.
That’s why you should farm reputation: You will receive both new recipes and knowledge simply by increasing your glory with the new factions of the expansion. This includes epic jewelry, armor, and more.
Some of the recipes are so strong that crafting is one of the best methods for strong equipment at level 70. In the guide, we reveal to you how to become stronger in Dragonflight starting at level 70.
For each profession, you need different factions. We provide you with an overview of which faction serves your profession.

Recipes and Knowledge for Every Profession
Where can I get knowledge? At reputation levels 14 and 24, you gain access to “Crafting Knowledge” at the factions. Each time, you receive 5 knowledge points that you can freely distribute in the respective profession – so a total of 20 knowledge points per profession.

You can best gain reputation through regularly occurring events, such as the Siege of the Dragoncurse Fortress, the Feast of Iskaara, or the Great Hunt, as well as through world quests, side quests, and reputation items that you can turn in repeatedly.
The crafting professions also receive additional recipes from the same factions, but at different reputation levels. When you craft a new recipe for the first time, you also receive one point of knowledge as well as a big chunk of experience that allows you to level up easily, if you still need to do that.
You can also find more recipes from other sources, such as PvP, which is worthwhile if you want to accumulate a little more knowledge. Additionally, there are specific recipes when fishing, but also in activities in the open world and in the first raid, which starts on December 14.
How can I further increase my knowledge? You can gain knowledge in various ways:
- while gathering, you can find the corresponding items for the gathering profession
- the scattered backpacks of the expedition can contain corresponding knowledge items
- in the world, there are 57 treasures that increase your knowledge
- you can find epic Dragon Knowledge Shards and exchange them for any knowledge in your professions
Make sure to distribute your knowledge correctly. While you can eventually learn all talents, it will become increasingly difficult to obtain new knowledge and you cannot reset talent points. In our guide, we explain more about how to skill professions as quickly as possible:
