You can already sign up for the beta of WoW: Dragonflight. We at MeinMMO will tell you where that is possible.
Dragonflight has been announced as the next expansion of World of Warcraft. Although the release may still be a while away, a beta is at least roughly on the horizon. However, to play right away, you need to sign up – we will tell you how to do that.
How can you participate in the WoW: Dragonflight beta? You can sign up for the beta on the official WoW: Dragonflight page. Just make sure you are logged in with the correct Battle.net account and click the “Beta sign-up” button. Wait a moment, and you should soon see “Thank you for signing up, [Accountname]”.
Once that is done, you are signed up for the beta.
However, keep in mind that signing up does not guarantee participation – there is only a chance of receiving an invitation to the beta.
When does the beta of Dragonflight start? Neither an alpha nor a beta start has been announced yet. Although signing up is already possible, Blizzard has not yet revealed a date. According to their statements, they are working “hard” to start an alpha and beta test as soon as possible. But even here, it is still unclear whether we are talking about weeks or months.
Beware of “key promises”: But be careful! In the past, dubious sites have repeatedly tried to sell you “beta keys” and asked for your bank details or login information. Usually, Blizzard does not issue keys for the WoW expansion betas, but directly unlocks the corresponding accounts. So don’t fall for such scammers. If you are ever allowed into the beta, a look into the Battle.net app should make that clear.
When is the release of Dragonflight? Here, too, there is still no definitive date. However, considering that the 3rd season of Shadowlands has only been running for a few weeks and that there will also be a 4th season, which will likely last 4 – 6 months, it seems that Dragonflight will likely not be released in 2022 and is expected to be released in spring or summer 2023.
As soon as there are official announcements from Blizzard regarding a release window – whether for the beta or the launch of the expansion – we will of course inform you about it.
Will you sign up for the beta and want to participate? Or would you rather wait for the finished version?
