The release date of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is much closer than we all thought. Blizzard still states the release is in 2022.
Quite unexpectedly, Blizzard has just let a big cat out of the bag. The upcoming expansion “World of Warcraft: Dragonflight” will be released this year – that is, in 2022. This is evident from the preorder details, which have also just started.
Where does the information come from? From the official Battle.net shop. The next expansion Dragonflight can now be preordered. The release information indicates that “Dragonflight will be available no later than December 31, 2022.” Thus, Blizzard is making a release promise for the current year!
How much does Dragonflight cost? This depends on which version you want to order. As usual, there are three different versions to buy, which mainly differ in content and price. The three versions are:
- Base Edition for 49.99 €
- Heroic Edition for 69.99 €
- Epic Edition for 89.99 €
- The Collector’s Edition of WoW: Dragonflight costs 129.99 € – Here are the contents
So for 50 euros, you can secure the cheapest version of Dragonflight; those who want more will have to pay more.
What is included in the different versions? The three versions have, in addition to basic access to Dragonflight, several bonuses. In general:
If you purchase Dragonflight – no matter which version – in the preorder, you will receive the bonus pet “Drakks” in the game.
The Base Edition includes:
- The base game “Dragonflight”
- Access to the new race-class combo, Callers of the Dracthyr – possibly even before the expansion’s release (Pre-Patch).
The Heroic Edition includes:
- All content from the Base Edition
- A character boost to level 60
- The flying mount “Entwined Dreamweaver”
- The pet “Murkastrasza”
The Epic Edition includes:
- All content from the Base and Heroic Editions
- Toy “Timewalker Hearthstone”
- Head transmog “Diadem of the Spellwarder”
- Back transmog “Wings of Awakening” in 5 colors
- 30 days of game time
Which version will you get? And do you think Blizzard can meet the release date?
