In the upcoming WoW expansion Dragonflight, you will meet an old acquaintance – one you saved an eternity ago.
On the Dragon Isles of World of Warcraft, all the great heroes will soon gather, but a whole series of smaller and lesser-known personalities are also drawn to this place. In doing so, you not only meet new acquaintances, but also many old characters that you may not have seen for almost two decades. Also present is Naralex, one of the biggest sleepyheads of World of Warcraft.
Who is Naralex? Especially Horde players who have been around since “Vanilla” will surely recognize this name. In case you don’t remember, here are two small hints: The Barrens, the Caves of Wailing.
Back then, Naralex was a night elf druid who wanted to explore the Caves of Wailing and the strange natural phenomena there together with some students. However, his students became the notorious “Druids of the Claw,” whom you had to fight in the dungeon, as they were corrupted by the nightmare.
Naralex himself could be found in the last area of the dungeon, where he slept on a stone, still trapped in the world of the nightmare. In the final battle, you had to protect his body against approaching enemies.
Ultimately, Naralex was rescued by the heroes and later appeared in “Cataclysm.” Because of Deathwing’s devastation of the world, there were strange overgrowths in parts of the Barrens that had to be contained.
Where can you find Naralex in Dragonflight? To the joy of all druids, Naralex apparently has not gone back to sleep in the meantime. You can find him in the “Academy of Algeth’ar” – one of the new dungeons of Dragonflight and a place where dragons increase and pass on their knowledge. Although it is a dungeon, there are not only enemies but also many friendly NPCs – and among them is indeed Naralex.
You can find the night elf druid with the green dragon lady Ochresera, who holds the title “Teacher of Oneiromancy” – that is, the study of dream interpretation. It seems that Naralex has not yet fully overcome his experiences in the nightmare and is still trying to recognize what was actually shown to him there. Perhaps a hint that we will come into contact with the nightmare and the Old Gods again – after all, they created the nightmare.
Basically, Dragonflight offers a reunion with many old acquaintances. So you can also meet a certain writer who is writing a few risqué novels again …
