The most are gathering in World of Warcraft on the Dragon Isles. But Blizzard has a Christmas gift for your characters that you shouldn’t miss.
Almost a month has passed since the release of Dragonflight, and still, most players have plenty to do, wandering the Dragon Isles day after day, completing world quests, hunting rare mobs, or cooking delicious soup with the Tuskarr. However, amidst all the adventures on the islands, one should not forget that time continues in Azeroth. Because Christmas is also there or – as it is called in the Warcraft world – the “Winter Veil”.
As every year, there are brand new gifts.
Where can the gifts be found? You can find the gifts, as in every year, under the big Winter Veil tree of your faction.
- Alliance characters go to Ironforge to the big square between the bank and the auction house.
- All proud Horde members travel to Orgrimmar to the Valley of Strength, where the Winter Veil tree prominently occupies the entire square.
All gifts are located under the tree. You must accept them in the form of quests to have the gift added to your inventory.
Two new gifts for Christmas in WoW
What are these gifts? This year there are two new gifts again that interact with each other. It’s a sort of “sport,” as both toys can be used together:
- Starcatcher: Become a starcatcher! Use again to push away starcatchers nearby.
- Starlauncher: Become a starlauncher! Use again to throw a star at a starcatcher.
Until when are the gifts available? If you cannot make it to Orgrimmar or Ironforge over the holidays, that’s not so bad. You have the chance to pick up the gifts under the tree until January 1st. After that, Father Winter packs his things and will return only at Christmas 2023 – so don’t miss the gifts.
By the way, you will also receive the gifts from previous years there, as there are now a lot of gift packages under the Winter Veil tree. So if you want to expand your toy collection, make a quick trip to the “old” cities.
