The Horde in WoW is not amused when an army of cats overwhelms them. After all, the Larions from Bastion are actually so cute …
With the Shadowlands expansion, PvP in the open world is revitalizing a bit. Many players are out in war mode, and smaller and larger skirmishes happen often. But how the Horde met its demise this time probably led to some confused rubbing of eyes. Rextroy has once again discovered a method to completely dismantle enemies – with an army of actually cute cats.
What happened? Rextroy is still not satisfied with Shadowlands and is always looking for new ways to annoy the enemy faction (usually the Horde) and destroy them in the blink of an eye. This time, he cleverly uses the cute Larions from the new area Bastion. With a whole army of them, he sweeps through the area, drawing individual Hordlers into his huge Larion troop, which makes quick work of the victim.
Although Rextroy’s character is only level 52 and the Larions are within level range, they dismantle Horde players up to level 60 within moments. But see for yourself:
How do you get the Larions as companions? To get the Larions, you must complete the side quest line in Bastion that ends with the “Pack or Unity” mission. Here you choose the Larions. This allows you to buy treats for the Larions if you have previously looted a specific treasure. You can apply these to all neutral and hostile Larions in Bastion – including the elite Larions – to make them companions for 10 minutes. They will then fight for you.
There is no limit; in theory, you can have an infinite number of Larions as companions as long as the 10-minute limit doesn’t run out and you’ve bought enough treats.
Is this intended? Probably not. Normally, such items only work with a single companion. When a second is summoned, the first disappears. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the Larions, which allows the mechanic to be exploited to create a huge army that deals massive amounts of damage. However, it can be assumed that Blizzard will soon curb this with a hotfix.
What do you think of this action? A cool thing or just annoying to be overwhelmed by such a horde of cats?
Other players also perform crazy feats – the neutral pandaren double agent is back …
