Almost half of our readers are dissatisfied with WoW: Battle for Azeroth. Our readership is divided – this was the result of our survey.
A few days ago, we launched a survey on the current satisfaction level with World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. We wanted to know what you think of the current expansion, whether you enjoy the current content, or if you have already turned your back on WoW. You participated eagerly in the survey. Now it’s time to evaluate the results – because the numbers are quite mixed.
50 / 50 – A clear division among WoW players
- Only 9% of our readers are completely satisfied with the current World of Warcraft. They have no complaints and feel comfortable in Battle for Azeroth.
- 37% of the voters are having a lot of fun in Kul Tiras and Zandalar, but they find some little things that bother them.
- With around 26%, just over one in four is only having a little fun in Battle for Azeroth. They are annoyed by the current mechanics and content but endure them bravely. For now.
- About one-fifth (21%) have already turned their back on World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. Their subscription was canceled after only two months of the expansion, and without new content and adjustments, it will not be easy to win these players back.
- Only about 7% of our voting readers have not even looked at Battle for Azeroth – the latest expansion did not convince them to purchase.
In summary, it can be said that the players, at least on Mein-MMO.de, are divided into two camps. Half are satisfied with World of Warcraft, while the other half wants extensive improvements to have more fun in the game or to return at all.
This also matches our experience in the comment sections. There is usually a colorful mix of “Everything is good, I am having fun” and “WoW is worse than ever before.” The perception within the player base is different.
Interestingly, opinions have shifted significantly since the release. Shortly after launch, we already had a survey, and back then more than 50% of players said they liked Battle for Azeroth “very much.” At that time, only 6% stated that they did not like the current expansion “at all.”
