The key information about the new allied race of the Alliance in World of Warcraft, the Dark Iron Dwarves, is now available. Come and check out the race’s classes, requirements, and bonuses.
The core feature of the new WoW expansion Battle for Azeroth is the allied races. After details about the Mag’har Orcs for the Horde were recently released, the Dark Iron Dwarves are following for the Alliance.
The Dark Iron Dwarves are the “dark brothers” of the Dwarves from Ironforge and the Wildhammer clan. They were enslaved by Ragnaros and have since served the elemental lord. Their alliance with the other Dwarves is thanks to Queen Moira Thaurissan, daughter of Magni Bronzebeard, who married the former leader Dagran Thaurissan.
When will Dark Iron Dwarves be playable? The requirements for the Dark Iron Dwarves are the same as those for the Mag’har Orcs. You must complete the “War Campaign” of the Alliance and then complete the recruitment scenario. The War Campaign is comparable to the Order Hall Campaign from WoW: Legion, except that the entire faction plays the same story instead of each class separately.
What makes Dark Iron Dwarves special: Dark Iron Dwarves have a dark skin color reminiscent of ash from the volcano they inhabit. Like every allied race, they also have their own mount and a heritage armor. Unlike Dwarves previously, they can choose different tattoos. Additionally, the shamans of the Dark Iron Dwarves receive unique totems in the form of anvils.
Which classes can Dark Iron Dwarves become? Hunter, Mage, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Shaman, Warrior
What racial bonuses do Dark Iron Dwarves have? The Dark Iron Dwarves are a race that lives underground in a volcano. Accordingly, their skills revolve around metals, fire, and confined spaces.
- Underground: You move four percent faster in indoor areas.
- Fireblood: Removes any poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleeding effects and increases your primary stat by 231 and additionally by 77 per removed effect. Lasts for 8 seconds, 2 minutes cooldown.
- Flameforged: Reduces physical damage taken by 1 percent.
- Mole Machine: Summons a mole machine in outdoor areas that digs through the ground. 30 minutes cooldown.
- Mass Production: Increases blacksmithing skill by 5 and blacksmithing speed by 25 percent.
A race that many players have long wished for
The Dark Iron Dwarves are one of the races that many players have been waiting for a long time. Even in Classic, there were fans who would have liked to play a Dark Iron Dwarf – if only to play a Dwarf as a Warlock.
Particularly role-players have brought the Dark Iron Dwarves to life several times in World of Warcraft. Although the game did not allow them to be chosen as a race, they defined their characters as Dark Iron Dwarves in role-play.
In lore, Dwarves do not deal with magic, so the only available magic for Dwarves so far has been faith. However, since the return of the Dark Iron Dwarves, Dwarves have increasingly started to use arcane magic or the Nether.
When the classes Mage and Warlock became available for Dwarves in Cataclysm, new hopes arose. However, the customization options to give Dwarves that typical dark skin and the glowing red eyes of Dark Iron Dwarves were lacking.
With the new allied race, this wish of many players is finally fulfilled. How about you? Are you looking forward to the Dark Iron Dwarves, or are you even one of those who wanted them for so long? Or do you mind that they sit on the Council of Three Hammers?
