A new record has been set in World of Warcraft. The first group completed a “M+” dungeon – at the difficulty level +29!
As time goes on, players’ gear in World of Warcraft becomes increasingly better. Gradually, everyone gets their “Best in Slot” items at the highest possible item level. Therefore, more and more achievements are unlocked, and tougher dungeons are mastered. While many players are still struggling with Mythic+15 or Mythic+20, some players are really tearing it up. They are achieving this at dizzying Mythic+29!
What has been achieved? Plaguefall at level 29 with the affixes Fortified, Burst, and Storming. The group consisted of:
- Protection Paladin (Itemlevel 254)
- Restoration Shaman (Itemlevel 252)
- Windwalker Monk (Itemlevel 254)
- Subtlety Rogue (Itemlevel 252)
- Frost Mage (Itemlevel 255)
In the end, the group had about 43 seconds left (via Raider.IO), allowing them to take their time with the final boss.
Why is this so impressive? This is impressive for several reasons. Firstly, there are no valuable items left from the dungeon above level M+15 – 15 is the limit up to which rewards still increase. At 20, there is another teleport for the dungeon, but everything beyond that is purely for fun.
Much more impressive is the fact that damage and health points increase rapidly. Because the higher the key stone, the higher the damage dealt by enemies and their health points. It requires extremely good gear and skill at the highest level of play to even remotely complete a key stone beyond level 20 within the time limit.
By the way – shortly afterwards, the group showed that they are by no means a flash in the pan. Just a few hours after completing Plaguefall, they completed another dungeon +29 – The Necrotic Wake.
What was the highest dungeon you have completed within the time limit? Have you even dared to attempt dungeons beyond “M+15”?
