That was quick. After the major criticism, Blizzard is changing the current final boss N’Zoth in the WoW LFR raid – he is now easier and requires a cloak.
Anyone who has already tried to defeat N’Zoth the Corruptor in the LFR this week may have become quickly frustrated.Many players entered the Ny’alotha raid without the legendary cloak. The result: They were taken over by the final boss and could no longer help the rest of the players. Blizzard has now made adjustments to prevent such cases from happening again and has also weakened N’Zoth in the process.
What was changed? All characters must now have Ashjra’kamas, the legendary cloak, equipped. Only then can they even sign up for the last wing “The Dream of the Watchers”. Otherwise, the option is grayed out and players cannot participate in the two fights against N’Zoth and his tank.

N’Zoth was nerfed: The change in the cloak requirement is not the only adjustment. There are also some nerfs to N’Zoth to make the battle a bit easier in the future. Previously, players had serious problems defeating the boss in the LFR. Some groups reported that they died to N’Zoth for more than 4 hours. From now on, the following changes are active:
- The range of Synaptic Shock has been increased from 8 meters to 15 meters.
- The maximum radius and spread speed of Creeping Soul Pain have been significantly reduced.
Players are happy about the adjustments: The changes have generally been well received by the players. It is praised that Blizzard responded so quickly and implemented the feedback almost “immediately”. Now there is hope that Blizzard will finally implement other community wishes, such as account-wide essences.
With these adjustments, LFR N’Zoth should be significantly easier to defeat. The frustration over incompetent teammates who haven’t even collected the legendary cloak should now be a thing of the past.
