It only took 3 days for Blizzard to concede on the drop chance of a rare mount in World of Warcraft. From now on, you will see the mount more often.
If players are dissatisfied with something in World of Warcraft, the community has become used to the fact that a change can often take weeks, months, or even years. However, with the current expansion Dragonflight, this has changed, as developers are increasingly responding within just a few days and making adjustments to enhance the gaming experience or reduce frustration.
What was the problem with the mount? Currently, during the Noblegarden event in WoW, players can earn a special mount called “Noble Flying Carpet.” You can obtain it by defeating Daetan Swiftbreeze and then completing the quest reward.
The catch with the mount: You only have 7 days once a year to obtain the mount. The drop chance is currently around 1%. Since you can maximally have 7 chances per character this year – and only if you try without fail every day – the probability has been quite low so far.
The prospect of finishing the event without getting the carpet was daunting for most players.
What has Blizzard done now? In the official forum, Blizzard has announced that the drop chance for the “Noble Flying Carpet” has been increased. More precisely, there is now a daily bonus on the first kill of Daetan Swiftbreeze, the event boss. The first character you complete the event with each day will have an increased chance of receiving the coveted mount.
Further attempts (with other characters) can also grant the mount, but the first kill has a significantly increased chance. Therefore, those who want to have a good chance with minimal effort should only try their luck once a day.
However, note that you still need to use a character of level 60 or higher. Only such heroes have the chance to receive the coveted mount.
The community is satisfied but has one wish: The player base shows considerable satisfaction with this change in the official forum. However, there is also criticism and the wish that for future events this design should be revised and not just react when it goes live.
After all, there has been criticism of such mount allocation in many previous events, such as the Headless Horseman’s mount or the pink love rocket from the Valentine’s event.
However, there are even more points of criticism regarding the Noblegarden event: Because for one toy, you have to collect for a whole 6 years.
