A new comic about World of Warcraft provides new information about the background story. Those who enjoy sad dwarf lore will find it here.
The story of Battle for Azeroth is announced through various comics. Now the second issue of the prehistory has been released with the title “The Speaker”. It is about Magni Bronzebeard and his visit to the Sword of Azeroth, where he hopes to communicate with the planet.
Magni’s Memories: The “Diamond King” Magni Bronzebeard no longer hears the voice of Azeroth. But when he collapses in despair, he remembers days from the past. There he ruled alongside his wife Eimear and raised their daughter Moira together with her. However, Eimear died during an attack by the ice trolls, and Moira later ended up with the Dark Iron dwarves. The memory of the loss and his mistakes drives him to ensure that this does not happen with Azeroth, bringing his attention to the Azerite.

What other speculations are there? Some fans on Reddit are already speculating again that the comic contains some ambiguities. The theory has long circulated that Magni has been corrupted by the Old Gods and is now unwittingly acting on their behalf. This fits with the fact that Magni no longer hears the voice of Azeroth in the comic but only memories from the past. Whether there is anything to this theory will probably only become clear towards the end of the upcoming expansion.
What do you think about the comic and the little bits of dwarf story that came with it? Is the story told better this way or should it all take place and be visible in the game?
