On this realm in WoW Classic, it is bleak for the Alliance. Only masochists might feel comfortable here, as the Horde is extremely dominant.
While World of Warcraft Classic has fulfilled the nostalgia wishes of many players, there have also been a number of things that have not worked. One of them is the balance between Horde and Alliance on some PvP realms. We have already reported on the realm Flamelash, where the population was 95% Horde. But it gets even worse. A US realm can only smile wearily at these numbers.
Which realm are we talking about? The realm in question is the US realm Skeram. The imbalance of power is pronounced here and has taken on a new extreme. The Alliance makes up only 1.2% of active characters, while the Horde accounts for a staggering 98.8%, according to the site ironforge.pro (as of 04.05.2020). In other words: every Alliance player faces nearly 99 Horde players.
What are the implications? The effects of this imbalance are demonstrated by the YouTuber Kirm Skeram in a short YouTube video. He logs in on the Alliance’s side and looks at the active player counts during peak playing times – that is, in the late afternoon hours on a Friday. Only 22 Alliance players at level 60 are out and 20 more in the leveling phase between levels 1 and 59.
Kirm Skeram describes that these numbers are rarely increased. Only when one of the remaining guilds organizes a raid night, which has become rarer, is it possible. The only truly active guild is his own.
This also has implications for the trade in the auction house. Only about 700 auctions can be found there – compared to several tens of thousands on a busy realm.
With such a population, group activities are hardly conceivable. Those who do not have a fixed group among the few remaining players should not even hope to find connection.
For Alliance players, this likely means that it is a hardcore PvP realm. Because anyone who leaves the capitals can be sure that several Horde players will confront them, who completely dominate this realm.
Would you want to play as an Alliance player on such a realm? Or does World of Warcraft not even sound like fun?
